Geocaching

We've been geocaching with my parents way back, but recently we got re-inspired by my friend's daughter, Elizabeth. Elizabeth is in the 3rd grade, she was my darling flower girl when she was three. Here is a picture of Elizabeth and Wyatt acting as owls inside the big tree at FW Botanic Gardens several weeks back.

We tried twice to look for caches then, but weren't really successful. Wyatt really wanted to find treasure, so I was determined to find some on our camping trip this week at Lake Ray Roberts. Wyatt, Lori (a good friend of ours) and I were headed out for some treasure with a lot of whining that he wanted Elizabeth there, his co-pirate. "Ma-om, but I want to go with Elizabef... is she coming here?...aww-oh"

We headed out a nice 1 mile scenic trail, should of took that pic, but didn't...We FOUND it! It was great, Wyatt was so EXCITED! It was very fitting to find this cache with a St. Pat necklace, as we found it on St. Patrick's Day! You go St. Pat!

We found our 2nd cache after much determination! This is one hobby that is really fun to do with the kids. It's great fun and you get moving in the great outdoors. Now one of my all time favorite things to do! Go Geocaching!
